A kestral is a HAWK Falco tinnunculus of the
family Falconidae, which breeds in Europe,
Asia, and Africa. About 30cm (1ft) long, the
male has a head and tail of bluish grey, and
its back is a light chestnut brown with black
spots. The kestrel hunts mainly by hovering
in midair while searching for prey.
